Daria is an intensely creative individual with a bohemian charm that proves infectious to other music lovers. As a DJ and producer, her natural ability to connect with crowds stems from an output that is always sprinkled with surprises: soaring melodies, lush harmonies and free-spirited beats. Whether she is channelling her cosmic charge through clubs around the planet, or compressing her personality into productions, the Daria aesthetic is all about emotion and expression.
In 2002 she started her first club residency, at Weetamix in Geneva, where she performed alongside such renowned figures as Derrick Carter, Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos and many artists. Building upon these foundations, she has since gone on to DJ at a string of top venues. These include Watergate, Weekend and Bar 25 in Berlin, Cocorico, Guendalina, Amnesia Milano, Kama Kama in Italy, La Mania in Romania, Fuse in Brussels, Propaganda in Moscow, Montreux Jazz Festival and CityFox, and regular sessions at D! Club, Nordstern in Switzerland. And, of course, many appearances at Cadenza showcases, and alongside Luciano between 2008 to 2011. She also completed few South American tours, playing in countries like Chile and Argentina.
Since 2010, Daria rising profile earned her to be chosen for a residency at famed Berlin club Watergate in Berlin, where she continues to play on a monthly basis.
Over time Daria has become ever more deeply involved a DJ, and several years ago she even set up a small home studio, where she could start producing her own music. As always, her music elegantly shifts between the lightness of warm percussion and the shiny tension of bright arpeggiated melodies. Tight grooves delicately integrated into a fulfilling musical experience.
Adding to the rich tapestry of textures that can now be found in her discography, Daria has also released during the summer 2010 on Cadenza Lab “Santeria EP” with a Lee Van Dowski Edit of Gauchito Gil track. The Ep was supported by lot of well knows artists as Radio Slave, Mathias Kaden, Adultnapper, Matthias Tanzmann. The tracks captures Daria’s unique and captivating fusion of electronic and organic elements with subtly effected voice and wisps of harp or violins, rolling Latin percussion and sampled jazz drums, delicate kalimba melodies. In 2012,
Daria has been honored to work on a remix of M.A.N.D.Y. vs. Adultnapper, for the renowned German label, Get Physical Music, along with Detroit legend, Kenny Larkin and John Tejada. The remix, which received strong support, had also gotten strong sales. In its first week, the remix has been toped on the 59 position on Beatport top sellers, category techno-house.
